"Sunny Side Up" is a still-life painting of one of the first eggs collected from my very own chickens. When I was quite young, we spent a lot of time on my aunt and uncle's chicken farm in Metuchen, N.J. First, I was terrified of those chickens; second, my brother and I did not like to eat those eggs. Nowadays, my Auntie Anita would be very proud of me and my little flock of six charming chickens. And I sure do love those eggs! This painting was done alla prima in my studio and is framed in a maple floater frame.
